  •  Comprehensive Vocational Evaluation - By definition, vocational evaluation is "a comprehensive process that systematically utilizes work, real or simulated, as the focal point for assessment and vocational exploration to assist people in vocational development. It incorporates medical, psychological, social, vocational, educational, cultural, and economic data in the attainment of the goals of the evaluation process" (VEWAA Glossary, 1988, p. 14).  The vocational evaluator analyze the skills and interests of their clients and match these skills to appropriate employment, training or educational opportunities.  They clarify their client's vocational potential.  Our vocational evaluation typically lasts 4 - 5 days, running from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

  • Job Development/Placement Services - The job development program provides assistance in finding employment within the community.  Our job developer works with both the job seeker and the employer to ensure a successful placement by carefully matching the emploee with the employer.  Services will assess interest and skill areas, assist in resume preparation, help the job seeker develop interview skills, and activiely make contact with potential employers.

  • Community Based Work Evaluation - The CBWE is an assessment tool used to clarify a client's work potential.  It takes place in an integrated work environment.  It is also used to clarify job keeping skills, work behaviors, and physical tolerences for work.

  • Community Based Work Adjustment - The CBWA is used to provide additional training time to learn a new job.  It takes place in an integrated work environment.  It allows the client to learn job skills, and resolve behavioral issues that might interfere with maintaining employment.

  • Community Supported Employment - CSE provides long term supports with a job coach. It takes place in a paid integrated work environment setting.  There is no cost to the employer.

  • Job Coaching - A job coach goes into the work setting with the client and assists in transitioning the client into the work setting.  The job coach can be available during a CBWE, CBWA, or community supported employment situation.  Once working the job coach can continue being available to help ensure the client maintains employment.  Job coaching can be long term or shorter term with fade out occuring over a period of time until the coach is no longer needed.
