Company History

Robert R. Cornell & Associates, LLC (RRC) began providing services on May 1, 1985.  It is operated as a sole proprietorship doing business as Vocational Assessment & Consulting Services. Services have been provided in 4 states, although in recent years the focus has been primarily in North Idaho and Spokane, Washington.  We are based in Idaho with offices in Post Falls, Idaho & Spokane, WA. 

Primary service offered for the past 23 years has been Vocational Evaluations. Robert R Cornell also has worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor during those 23 years.  In 2005 we underwent a major expansion and added Job Placement, Job Retention, Community Based Assessments, Job Coaching, Independent Living Services, & Ticket-To-Work through the Social Security Administration.


Robert R Cornell started Robert R. Cornell & Associates, LLC and has been active with the company through out it's history.  Deborah Cornell joined  the company in 1986 and was a very active associate in the early years. In 2008  she took on a key role as office manager in Post Falls, and continued as administrative offices were moved to our Spokane location.  She has played a pivotal role in helping us prepare  for and successfully complete the CARF Accreditation process.


Robert R. Cornell has a Master’s degree (1981) and Bachelor’s degree (1978)  in Vocational Rehabilitation from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.  He is a Certified Vocational Evaluation Specialist. For over 28 years Robert has provided private and traditional in-house Vocational Evaluation programs.  He is one of the few Certified Vocational Evaluators in Idaho and Eastern Washington.


Deborah Cornell’s background includes extensive experience in office management. She has experience in the construction field (office managment), legal office work, and working in clerical support for an accounting office.  She brings experience in rehabilitation and habilitation from teaching independent living skills to Development Delayed adults through a non-profit agency and having  a Certified Family Home in North Idaho.
